The primary purpose of Journal of Chiropractic Humanities
is to foster scholarly debate and interaction within the
chiropractic profession regarding the humanities, which
includes; history, philosophy, linguistics, literature,
jurisprudence, ethics, theory, sociology, comparative
religions, and aspects of social sciences that address
historical or philosophical approaches.
The journal's
objective is to fulfill this purpose through careful
editorial review and publication of expert work, by creating
legitimate dialogue in a field where a diversity of opinion
exists, and by providing a professional forum for
interaction of these views.
The Journal of Chiropractic Humanities invites
submission of scholarly papers toward fulfilling these
objectives. Categories include:
- Original Papers: papers that advance
knowledge relating to the humanities. Appropriate
references should be included to support statements made
in the manuscript.
- Literature Reviews: systematic and critical
assessments of previously published information on topic
areas as stated in the purpose of this journal.
- Letters to the Editor: assessments of
recently published material in the journal in which the
author seeks to clarify or add to the published
material, or may seek to create legitimate controversy
regarding the topic of debate. Letters to the editor
should be no longer than 800 words in lengths and
include no more than 10 references.
The journal is currently indexed in Cumulative Index to
Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Manual
Alternative and Natural Therapy Index System (MANTIS), and
the Index to Chiropractic Literature (ICL).
All manuscripts submitted for consideration should follow
the instructions for authors located below.
